Dustin Strand and Ryan Mikkelson split the pair of NLRA races run last weekend at the Sure Step I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, MN and at the Buffalo River Speedway in Glyndon, MN. Strand's win was his twenty-fifth win with the series, while Mikkelson became the second first time winner with the series on Sunday night.
The fourteenth annual John Seitz Memorial at the River Cities Speedway is in the books, and the big winners were Lance Schill, driver of the No. 17 Schill Construction MB Custom, who collected his first career NLRA series feature win during the 'Prelude to the Johnny.' Dustin Strand, driver of the No. 71 Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Millenium SRT won his fourth NLRA series championship. And Aaron Turnbull, driver of the No. 21 Mack Auctions MB Custom, who won the 'Go Hard or Go Home' pole dash, and his second consecutive John Seitz Memorial championship.

On Thursday night at River Cities, Steffen Snare lined the No. 71S Todd's Electric Bloomquist on the pole, with Lance Schill to his outside. After a caution on the initial start, Schill took the lead, as Joey Pederson moved to second in the No. 7P Dahlstrom Motors Victory.

This Friday night, the NLRA will co-headline with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. This will be the 44th time the series has held an event at the quarter-mile "Bullring" on the Greater Grand Forks Fairgrounds, and the twentieth time the series has shared the spotlight with the Outlaws in Grand Forks since 2009.

The win was Corbett's first NLRA series win in eighteen years, as he led the final nine circuits to pick up the win.

This Friday night, July 31st, the series will take to the River Cities Speedway for the first time in 2020. This is scheduled to be the 43rd series race held at the quarter-mile "Bullring" on the Greater Grand Forks Fairgrounds. This Friday's date was scheduled to be the third series race of the 2020 campaign, but the first two were lost due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This will be the 31st event at the high-banked Roseau County oval that measures in at just over a quarter-mile. This is scheduled to be the first time in series history that the series will hold a race on the 4th of July holiday.

Brad Seng won the first NLRA series race of the season last Saturday night at the Devils Lake Speedway near Crary, ND. Seng's win was his series leading 38th victory, and was worth $2,000 as the Walhalla Building Center presented the second running of the Golden Hammer Classic.

It was another exciting John Seitz Memorial at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, with Jake Redetzke winning the 'Prelude to the Johnny' on Thursday night, while Brad Seng captured his fourth NLRA championship, and the pole for the 92-lap finale on Saturday night by winning Friday's 'Go Hard Or Go Home' Pole Dash. But is was Estevan, Saskatchewan's Aaron Turnbull that came away as the weekend's big winner, by scoring his first John Seitz Memorial victory. |
